Being Journal was founded in Cambridge in September 2026 by Alba Ramírez Guijarro and Jonathan Garner. Alba was doing a research stay at the archives of Trinity College and King’s College. The two had met at the International Wittgenstein Symposium in Kirchberg, Austria, and shared philosophical interests.

They believe that language is an essential part of ideas... style is more than the form of a text, so they wanted to offer a space in which each author could develop their own voice. Both Alba and Jonathan have experience editing works of literature and philosophy.
